Driving Zone is authorized by the Texas Department of Public Safety to administer the final driving test to the public! Applicants must have the required documents below.

Applicants who completed a:
Teen Drivers Ed course
(ages 16 - 17)

Had Learners License for Six Months

Look on the back of your driving permit to see when your six months is over. You are allowed to test anytime after this date.

DE 964 Certificate

This certificate is issued by your driving school or parent taught program.

ITTD Certificate

This certificate is emailed to you after completing the online ITTD Course. Click Here to take this course.

Vehicle Insurance

Every insurance card is different. Please make sure insurance is active and not expired. Students name does not have to be on policy.

Applicants who completed an:
Adult Drivers Ed course
(ages 18 - 24)

Learners License

This restricted license is given to you by the DPS office once you submit your 6 Hour Adult Driver Education certificate.

ITYD Certificate

This certificate is emailed to you after completing the online ITYD Course. Click Here to take this course

Vehicle Insurance

Every insurance card is different. Please make sure insurance is active and not expired. Students name does not have to be on policy.

Applicants who are:
25 and older
(No Drivers Ed required)

Learners License

This temporary restricted license is issued by the drivers license office upon completion of the Road Rules and Road Signs exam. This exam is taken at DPS or through an Adult Drivers Ed program.

What happens after?

You will receive a sealed envelope containing your certificates and driving test results. This envelope must be submitted to a DPS office to receive your official Class C Driver License!
